A terracotta jardinere designed by Archibald Knox for Liberty and Co. Made by Mary Seton Watts, married tothe painter G F Watts. This is one of the first designs by Knox a simple celtic knot inspired from ancient celtic crosses where he grew up on the Isle of Man. Mary won awards from the Royal Botanical Society (Gold) and The Royal Horticultural society (Silver). Circa 1900.
