George Logan for Wylie and Lochhead. A rare Glasgow School cabinet

A rare Glasgow School cabinet designed by George Logan and made by Wylie and Lochhead. With pierced and carved stylised butterfly to the centre back and to the display area below, flanked by stylised floral carved details to the upper front ends. The lead glass panels in the sliding doors depict three pure white plump doves in flight and Harebells growing from the lower panels. A bedroom suite designed by George Logan for the Wylie and Lochhead Pavillion Exhibition in 1901 also has Harebells and tiny little carved butterflys. Height 48", Width 47", Depth 13 3/4". Circa 1901.
