Leonard Wyburd for Liberty and Co. The Valkyrie Arts and Crafts piano

The Valkyrie Arts and Crafts piano designed by Leonard F Wyburd for Liberty and Co. And made by J and J Hopkinson. The oak case inlaid with stylized flower heads and interlacing Celtic designs using Pewter and Ebony with outstanding hand-wrought iron strap hinges. And conforming foot and pedal caps. With handy hinged extension flaps to each side. A very rare example of an outstanding statement in the pure Arts Crafts style Liberty and Co. There are only a handful of these piano’s known and it is thought that this is the only one still retaining it's original Celtic interlaced iron candle sconces. A little work of art on their own. Measure: Height 50", width 65", depth 28", the side flaps are 11" each side making an overall width of 87".
