Ernest Archibald Taylor (1874-1951) for Wylie and Lochhead . A rare 'Butterfly' chair, the high back with satinwood and mother of pearl inlaid flowerheads to the head rail and inlaid butterflies to the central back, 83cm high This model was exhibited in the Wylie and Lochhead pavilion at The Glasgow International Exhibition in 1901 and was part of the complete and very accomplished scheme running through the drawing room he designed for the exhibition which was subsequently exhibited in Budapest in 1902.
