An Anglo-Japanese tub chair. Design attributed to Godwin. probably for William Watt. When I removed the replaced covering it revealed some of the original fabric which is almost identical to wallpaper and fabric designs he did for Jefferys and Co of Islington. See The Secular Furniture of E.W.Godwin by Susan Soros page 273 Circa 1870's.
