George Jack for Morris and Co. A superb quality mahogany four piece bedroom suite designed by George Jack with intricate detailed copper handles designed and made by Richard Rathbone. The treble break front wardrobe with inlaid Briar Rose details to the centre door opening to reveal an upper section of open style drawers and a central bank of three drawers below, full length hanging space to each side designed to have your clothes neatly at an angle using the extending hanger rails with copper cast hooks for further hanging space at the sides and back. A knee whole dressing table with swing mirror and four upper jewellery drawers and five further drawers below standing firmly on eight tapering legs with spade feet united by cross stretchers mitred to each leg at 90 degree angles. An unusually deep chest of six drawers with quarter panels to each side and a dentil moulding beneath the top matching the wardrobe. A marble lined bedside cabinet that can hardly be lifted by man ! The quality of this suite is outstanding each piece signed Morris and Co 449 Oxford St.W and numbered. Height 1/2", Width " Depth ". Circa 1900.
