H W Batkey for Collinson and Lock. A Rosewood corner end settee

A Rosewood corner end settee with single corner seats to each end. probably for Collinson and Lock. Design attributed to Henry William Bately. The subtle incised circular detail within a triangular boarder of tram lines that continue across the top and down the arms which protrude out above a turned column with carving below and spiral turned legs. A very unusual settee with the circular end seats and most likely a commissioned piece. Circa 1880's. Height 34", Length 96", Depth 26".
