Henry William Batley possibly for Gillows of Lancaster

A large Aesthetic Movement exhibition quality oak and walnut bracket clock. The top edge beautifully carved with floral decoration and the Green Man to the centre. An arched lattice and gilded section below. A circular brass dial with a quote which reads: Teach Us To Number Our Days and 1877 with initials W RW.

Below and to the back there are carved circular devices and two small turned supports in front. The main turned supports are writhen Corinthian columns with boxwood capitals and boxwood bases on a flaring base.
