SOLD
The King of peacock armchairs. An extremely rare and exceptional cane throne armchair, the type and style made famous by French director Just Jaeckin and Dutch actress Sylvia Kristel in the cult film Emmanuelle. This Peacock armchair is over 16 inches taller than usual plainer versions, with intricate weaved patterns and hints towards American Indian style weaved decoration. It has an extra presence of it's own, with a decorative double skin to the back rest and extra rod supports weaved into the back design making it very strong indeed unlike the lesser types we see which are quite flimsy and usually do not last the test of time.
This rare exceptional Peacock armchair is a cut above the rest and way ahead of the competition, it is in exceptionally good condition for it's age, the main frame is very strong with no warping and only minor losses to the strands which I have shown in the images and easily restorable.
A better quality build than usual with more supports weaved into the design of this extra tall version giving it a heap more Hollywood presence !
