An Anglo-Japanese sideboard in the manner of Thomas Jeckyll with stylised fret work almost identical to his designs for Barnard Bishop and Barnard with Amboyna serving area possibly designed by by W J Estall. Lambs were one of the very best cabinet makers of the period a pure Art Furniture company who's furniture designs were at the forefront in England in the late 1800's. Alfred Waterhouse is also believed to have designed for them. A set of 4 matching dining chairs below. Made by Lambs of Manchester. Height 53 1/2", Width 42", Depth 16 1/2". Circa 1875.
