Arthur Simpson of Kendal. One of the nicest most unusual oak Arts and Crafts dressing tables I have ever come across. Designed for lovers to share. The hand made copper heart shaped handles and mirrors were designed and made by Richard Rathbone. He was one of the best metalworkers of the Arts and Crafts period. For further examples of Rathbones work see The Studio year book 1899-1900 page 255) Width 71" Depth 23" Height 62". Circa 1890.
