Hand wrought iron standard lamp

A very stylish hand wrought iron standard lamp attributed to the Birmingham Guild Of Handicraft. This has now been stripped back to the bare steel and polished.

Circa 1900. See Arts and Crafts Metalwork, Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House (2003), page 27 and 39. An exhibition held at Blackwell, one of the most famous Arts and Crafts houses in the United Kingdom designed by M. H. Baillie Scott.
