C R Ashbee for The Guild of Handicraft, attributed. An early pair of hand wrought iron fire dogs inset with a heart shapes to the tops. Very fine blacksmiths work with hand hammered flat flowerheads flowing down to frame the central spearhead and scroll decoration, coming back in to form the legs that have a hammer joined ending with tight scrolled ends to the feet finished off with little brass balls.
