Liberty & Co. Regent Street. London. An English Arts & Crafts Pewter Inkwell with violet-coloured enamel decoration to the top, and to each of the circles at the four corners. Stamped 9. T UD RI C. 0141. Made in England. J. Liberty launched its Tudric pewter range in 1902. Initially, Liberty imported as well as commissioned items from other makers until they invested in the firm W H Haseler in Birmingham. Haseler manufactured all pewterware for Liberty until 1926.
